Switching Between Different Tabs / Worksheets

One of the keyboard shortcuts I use all the time in Excel is the one for switching between tabs or worksheets within a workbook: Ctrl+PageUp or Ctrl+PageDown.

If you are an avid user of Tabbed Browsing, you may be more familiar with using Ctrl+Tab / Ctrl+Shift+Tab to switch between Tabs. That is the shortcut used by Internet Explorer, FireFox, and Safari. That probably makes more sense than PageUp/PageDown, but at least for now, Excel does it its own way. In FireFox, you can you actually use either set of shortcuts to switch between tabs.

Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab are used in Excel to cycle among the open workbooks. I wish those worked in Word and PowerPoint as well.

THANK YOU! now how do you jump from tab to previous tab...not necessarily the one next... if you have 5tabs open, and you want to jump from tab 1 to tab 4 how do you do that?
